TRAXXfm’s 1MALAYSIA ROAD TOUR
20 February - 27 March 2010
TRAXXfm is going on the road again and this time we are reaching out to the young ones! The Road Tour aims to strengthen the ties of TRAXXfm and listeners nationwide. Partnering with RTM sister stations in Malaysia, the younger generation will get first hand information about what it takes to be a Deejay. This stems from TRAXXfm winning the “Tune In To KIDS”, a half an hour radio special that has won the 2009 International Children’s Day of Broadcasting (ICDB) regional award for best radio program in East Asia and Pacific.
Insider information on the glamorous life of a Radio Deejay and other trade secrets will be shared by none other than the deejays themselves through Deejaying workshops organised in five (5) major cities namely Penang, Melaka, Johor Bahru Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. TRAXXfm will also go on the ground and meet and greet and play interactive games with listeners in various hotspots in these cities.
The Deejay Workshop
The 1MALAYSIA ROAD TOUR is a road tour organised by TRAXXfm, prioritizing children between the ages of 12 – 15. TRAXXfm is in the process is expanding their listener base and would love to gauge the minds and interests of children. TRAXXfm will be working hand-in-hand with MUTIARAfm, JOHORfm, MELAKAfm, SARAWAK REDfm and SABAH Vfm to entertain children at the same time educate them about the wonders of the world of broadcasting. TRAXXfm will also be working closely with RTM sister stations to provide the proper avenue for recording and such; so the kids will get hands-on experience. They will also get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the DJs in action!!
Workshops will be held in RTM Regional Stations on these dates:-
i. MUTIARAfm (20 Feb 2010) - PENANG
ii. JOHORfm (27 Feb 2010) - JOHOR
iii. MELAKAfm (13 March 2010) - MELAKA
iv. SARAWAK REDfm (20 March 2010) – KUCHING
v. SABAH Vfm (27 March 2010) – KOTA KINABALU

TRAXXfm on the STREETS
Each year TRAXXfm hits the road twice to meet & greet the present listeners and potential future listeners. TRAXXfm is going on the road again and this time we are reaching out to the young ones! The Road Tour aims to strengthen the ties of TRAXXfm and listeners nationwide. After the Deejay Workshops, TRAXXfm will then get interactive on the streets of these main towns at night.
Due to the enormous response received the last time, the deejays of TRAXXfm will interact with the shoppers, by-standers, listeners and everyone in between with games, contest and fantastic prizes to be given away at the same time in five (5) major cities we have visited before - Penang, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
Throughout the whole Road Tour period, TRAXXfm will also be meeting and greeting listeners in the KLANG VALLEY with loads of stuff to give away. Going on the streets every Wednesday to various HOTSPOTS, the TRAXX Crew will be playing interactive games with the crowd and giving away goodies like there’s no tomorrow!!
